Discover what's inside the Critical Role Characters of Tal'Dorei Set 1, how these unpainted minis enhance your tabletop RPG sessions, and who they're best for.
Quick answer
The Critical Role Characters of Tal'Dorei Set 1 offers high-quality, unpainted miniatures that bring your favorite campaign heroes to the table. They're a solid pick for collectors and RPG players who enjoy customizing their figures.
What makes these minis stand out
Critical Role partnered with WizKids to produce these figures, ensuring compatibility with the most popular tabletop RPGs. Each miniature is pre-primed but unpainted, giving you a blank canvas to match your vision or the official character art.
The set includes key characters from the Tal'Dorei campaign, making it a thematic addition for fans who want to recreate iconic scenes or introduce new players to the story.
Trade-offs to consider
Because these minis are unpainted, you'll need time, paint, and brushes to finish them. If you prefer ready-to-play figures, this set requires extra effort. The detail is crisp, but small parts may be delicate during painting.
The price at USD 44.39 (down from a catalog comparison of USD 59.99) offers good value for the number of figures, but the set may not include every character you want—check the contents before buying.
How to decide if this set is right for you
- You enjoy painting miniatures: If customizing your figures is part of the fun, the unpainted design lets you add personal touches and match your group's style.
- You're a Critical Role fan: This set features iconic Tal'Dorei characters, making it a great way to bring the show's adventures to your own table.
- You want a ready-to-play set: If you lack painting supplies or prefer pre-painted minis, look for painted alternatives or factor in the extra time and cost. Consider your available hobby time before committing.
