Pairs 는 James Ernest와 Paul Peterson이 디자인한 새로운 클래식 펍 게임입니다. 운을 시험하는 간단한 카드 게임으로, 승자는 없고 오직 재미만 있습니다. 덱은 1부터 10까지 번호가 매겨진 55장의 카드로 구성되며, 1×1, 2×2, 3×3, ... 10×10까지 있습니다. 간단하고 빠르며 재미있습니다.
The Princess and Mr. Whiffle 는 Patrick Rothfuss와 Nate Taylor가 만든, 동화책처럼 보이지만 절대 동화책이 아닌 책입니다. 이 덱에는 판타지 아티스트 Nate Taylor의 으스스한 동화책 삽화가 포함되어 있습니다. 또한 3~6명의 플레이어를 위한 입찰 게임 "Kitty"의 규칙도 포함되어 있습니다.
Grabbed this for game night and it went over way better than I expected. The 55-card deck plays fast, and since there's no winner, just one loser, everyone stays engaged right to the end. The Princess and Mr. Whiffle art is a nice bonus too.
The press-your-luck mechanic is what makes this one shine — you keep drawing because ten points feels safe until someone flips that second ten and you're out. Took it to a bar with four friends and we were yelling at each other within ten minutes.
We've already played this five times tonight with different groups, and the press-your-luck tension gets everyone laughing, even the person who ends up losing. Love that there's no winner, just one poor soul holding the losing card — it keeps the whole table engaged to the very end.
