BETTA - Discover the wonderful world of the betta! They are beautiful and colourful, but their displaysneed to be properly organised so that they stand out. In Betta, each player is assigned a species of betta. All they need to do is arrange the fish into different patterns, which earns them points depending on how complex the patterns are.
Didn't expect the whole game to hinge on how you arrange your betta's display, but that's what makes every round tense. Learning each species' quirks kept my group arguing in the best way.
The species you're assigned actually changes how you plan your whole display, which I didn't expect from such a small box. Sorting the colourful fish into proper displays gets surprisingly tense near the end. Played it three nights in a row already.
I didn't expect organising the displays to be this addictive. Each species plays differently, and figuring out how to arrange your betta so they actually stand out takes real thought. We've played it four nights straight.
