CLASH OF MAGIC SCHOOL - For generations, Magic Schools have been training aspiring magicians in the mastery of the arcane arts of water, fire, earth and air. Each year, the two schools with the most brilliant students participate in the final clash of Magic Schools, an event awaited by all and which affirms the greatness of the victorious school.
Didn't expect the two-school setup to matter this much, but picking which academy to back before the first spell is cast had me hooked. Splitting fire, water, earth and air across the decks keeps every round feeling different.
The four elements each play so differently that I keep switching schools just to try new spell combos. Turns are quick, so a full match fits in about half an hour.
Played this with my brother all weekend and the water-versus-fire matchup kept things tense right to the last turn. The two-school setup means every game plays out differently depending on who you pick.
