The reworked rules really do move faster than the old version, and our four-player game wrapped in about an hour. The upgraded components are a nice touch too, the pieces feel sturdier than the flimsy ones I remember.
Set up was quick once I got through the revised rules, and the new components are a clear step up from the old cardboard chits. Games move noticeably faster now, and I've actually managed a couple of close wins on the last turn.
We played a full game with four people last night and it wrapped up in about an hour and a half, which felt way snappier than the old version we used to haul out.
