The push-your-luck mechanic with the walker dice had my whole table groaning every time someone kept rolling. We finished a full game in about 45 minutes, which is perfect for a weeknight. Playing as a hopeful trying to earn a spot in the group actually made me care whether my survivor made it.
I've played this with my group three times already, and the pressure of rolling to clear walkers before your turn ends keeps everyone on edge. The survivor recruitment mechanic from the show's premise adds a nice layer of strategy to each dice decision.
Scoring the survivor recruitment feels surprisingly thematic for a dice game, and the push-your-luck moments get tense fast. My only gripe is that the rulebook took a couple of read-throughs before the open slot mechanic clicked. Solid filler for a game night.
