Played this with three friends and the vanilla vs chocolate tug-of-war had us genuinely trash-talking by round two. Bruno Cathala's fingerprints are all over the tight, fast turns. Setup took under five minutes, which matters when you just want to start playing.
Opened it on game night expecting a light filler, but the tug-of-war between donut factions got everyone at the table shouting within ten minutes. Bruno Cathala’s hand always shows in the tight decisions, and the vanilla-versus-chocolate theme is just silly enough to keep it playful. Even my friend
The vanilla-versus-chocolate rivalry is such a clever hook, and the gameplay itself moves fast enough that we’ve already played three rounds in one sitting. The rules were easy to grasp after the first turn, which made it a hit even with my non-gamer friends.
