My group has played this four times in two weeks and the temple looting still feels tight every round. Racing other explorers to grab treasure before they snatch it keeps everyone leaning over the table.
The tension when another player's explorer is racing toward the same treasure room is unreal, and stealing a haul right out from under them never gets old. Easy to teach in five minutes but the competition keeps it cutthroat every round.
Sending explorers into the temple while dodging rival treasure hunters keeps every turn tense. My group actually groaned when someone swooped in and grabbed the idol first, which is exactly what you want from a game night.
